Hill McGlynn is working in partnership with a leading construction consultancy specialising in interior fit-out and refurbishment projects, to recruit a detail-oriented and creative CAD Technician to join their team in Maidstone.

The Role
As a CAD Technician, you'll support the design and technical teams by producing accurate drawings and technical details for a variety of interior projects. You'll be involved in space planning, construction detailing, and helping to bring creative design concepts to life with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D CAD drawings from design briefs and mark-ups
Update and revise drawings to reflect design changes
Prepare layouts, floor plans, elevations, and technical sections
Assist in preparing drawings for planning and building control submissions
Coordinate drawings with consultants, contractors, and internal teams
Support project delivery from design through to construction
Ideal Candidate
1–3 years' experience in a similar CAD Technician role within construction or interior design
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (SketchUp or Revit knowledge a bonus)
Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings
Keen eye for detail and spatial awareness
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Relevant qualification in CAD, Construction, Architecture or Design an advantage
