From research and development to in-service support, your work will help deliver more efficient, innovative and eco-friendly surface technologies used across Airbus aircraft family.If youre passionate about corrosion protection, coatings, and cutting-edge materials-and enjoy solving complex engineering challenges-this is a role where your expertise will truly make an impact.What Youll Be Doing Youll play a key role in developing and supporting technologies used to protect, enhance, and extend the life of aircraft materials. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and deploying new materials, processes, and testing technologies for design and production.
* Supporting the design and build of aircraft by providing corrosion protection and sealing solutions .
* Delivering corrosion analysis and protection principles across all Airbus aircraft programmes.
* Working on continuous improvement projects, including cost, time and performance enhancements.
* Ensuring compliance with EHS and REACh regulations through eco-efficient materials and processes.
* Adapting existing surface technologies to chromate-free environments as part of Airbus sustainability goals.
What Were Looking For Experience is highly valued-more so than formal qualifications. Youll likely have a background in aerospace, automotive, or materials engineering, and will bring expertise in some of the following:
* Material Science, Chemistry, Materials or Chemical Engineering (or related experience).
* Strong knowledge of corrosion protection, surface technology, metallic and composite materials.
* Experience with surface treatments, coatings, sealants, and material testing (e.g., salt spray, corrosion, Volvo tests).
* Ability to communicate clearly and work within a multi-location, international team .
* Confidence, initiative, integrity and a collaborative working style.
* Comfortable working in English at a professional/technical level.
