Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Workshop or mobile Based)
Location: Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire
Rate of Pay: GBP15 per hour (up to 39 hours per week, upwards depending on experience), GBP22 per hour overtime rate
GBP40k-50k+ per year
Hours: 8:00-18:00, 39hrs contact Minimum of 48 hours per week expected (with OT)
Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Workshop Based Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment mechanics with a good basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
* Repair and replace faulty parts and components using hand and power tools.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
* Complete service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective workflow and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in a workshop setting.
Strong mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of hydraulics and electrics.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
