Freelance Performance Media Marketing Manager (Head Office)
As a Performance Media Manager, this position will be an SME responsible for managing £13.5m of investment and media agency relationships. The role requires excellent stakeholder and P&L management. A deep understanding of Performance Media activity including PPC, Paid Social, Affiliates, Display is essential. Working alongside the Senior Performance Media & CRM Manager to shape George’s ecommerce performance media strategy, reporting, and decision making. The role requires a broad view of industry trends to keep George ahead of the competition, along with a focus on digital best practices and data use.
The role involves autonomous thinking to develop, set, and deliver media strategies utilizing past learnings and team expertise, with internal review and approvals. Quick changes and creative turnarounds may limit exploration of all opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Senior Performance Media & CRM Manager on George.com’s Performance Media strategy for clothing and home.
* Plan holistically, linking to broader brand plans and attribution.
* Deliver timely, actionable reporting to relevant stakeholders.
* Report results and strategies to key stakeholders and attend meetings.
* Leverage digital and data transformation to drive communication.
* Prepare for future digital marketing activities, e.g., site migration.
* Manage agency relationship with Spark Foundry.
* Build relationships with media partners like Google & Meta.
* Foster a culture of innovation with test and learn plans.
* Work with analytics teams to ensure effective media activity.
* Contribute to customer communication strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in paid media, agency management, marketing strategy, measurement, and Performance Media.
* Knowledge of Affiliates, Display, Paid Social, PPC, Google Shopping, analytics tools.
* Passion for media and industry trends.
* Agency/in-house experience preferred.
* Strong commercial insight and budget management skills.
Communication & Influence:
* Excellent communication skills and relationship-building ability.
* Problem-solving and challenge willingness.
* Understanding of media agency workings and commercials.
* Ability to work calmly under shifting priorities.
* Work in Lutterworth 2 days/week, occasional visits to Leeds and London.
