SUMO Geosurveys is aCIfA Registered Organisation andwas the first independent group of archaeological geophysicists, originally established in 1985. We are looking for personnel in our Worcestershire and Darlington offices and invite candidates with varying levels of experience to join this multi-disciplined Group. In addition to Archaeological Geophysics, Engineering Geophysics and UAS (drone) Surveys, the SUMO Group also specialises in Utility Detection, Topographic Surveys, Measured Building Surveys, and Laser Scanning.
Role:Carrying out our geophysical surveys primarily using Bartington / Foerster cart and handheld systems. Depending on experience, you may also be involved in the other types of surveys that we undertake, including non-archaeological geophysics and assisting with UAS (drone) work.
These are field positions, though for the experienced posts, suitable candidates will become involved in data processing, interpretation and report writing. All posts require a willingness to work outdoors in all weathers, in small teams staying away from home throughout the UK. Applicants need to be physically fit to be able to undertake these duties. Accommodation (hotel/B&B) and subsistence are provided when working away from base.
* Full training given including external driving course and ATV driving

Full manual driving licence required.
