As part of our ever growing team, you will contribute to the delivery of modern, energy‑efficient modular homes designed to improve living standards across Scotland and the UK. As a Modular Construction Plumber at Enevate Homes Limited, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and commissioning all plumbing systems within modular units during factory production. You will work from detailed technical drawings, follow company-specific processes, and ensure that all plumbing installations meet Enevate’s high quality and compliance standards. You may also be required support final installation and commissioning when modules are delivered to site. Key Responsibilities : Installation of Plumbing Systems in Modular Units Install plumbing systems within Enevate modular units, including hot and cold water services, soil, waste, and vent pipework, heating pipework, and sanitaryware. Carry out first fix, second fix, and final fix plumbing as part of the production line. Reading Technical Drawings & Collaboration Interpret plumbing schematics, layouts, and module drawings produced by Enevate’s highly experienced Design Team. Work collaboratively with other Trades and Production Supervisors to ensure accurate and efficient installation. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure all plumbing works meet Enevate quality standards ISO9001:2015 / BOPAS and applicable Scottish and UK building regulations. Complete QA paperwork and installation checklists for each module. Testing and Commissioning Perform pressure testing on pipework and systems within the factory. Identify and rectify any leaks, defects, or alignment issues. Support site teams with module connection, testing, and system commissioning when required. Material Management & Reporting Ensure efficient use of materials and report shortages or discrepancies. Provide feedback to supervisors / management on design issues or potential improvements. Comply with quality management system requirements. Complete permit to work system when required. Health, Safety & Environment Adhere to all Enevate Homes health and safety policies and systems. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area. Use tools, equipment, and PPE correctly and responsibly. Skills & Experience Essential Qualified plumber (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent). Experience with copper, plastic, and push‑fit systems. Strong understanding of Scottish and UK building and plumbing regulations. Ability to interpret technical drawings. Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Work alongside plumbing apprentices. Desirable Experience in modular or off‑site construction environments. Experience installing plumbing within steel frame or panelised systems. CSCS card (for occasional site work). Personal Attributes Reliable and committed to high-quality workmanship.
