About the Role
Lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s long-term asset management strategy, ensuring that homes remain safe, compliant, sustainable, and financially viable. This role centres on portfolio-level decision making, data-driven investment planning, and aligning stock performance with regulatory, customer, and sustainability objectives. It plays a pivotal role in supporting compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing, the Building Safety Act, and the organisation’s broader corporate plan.
Responsibilities
* Asset Strategy & Investment Planning
* Lead the creation, review, and delivery of the Asset Management Strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and maintain robust 30-year investment plans, utilising comprehensive stock condition and financial data to support evidence-based decisions.
* Data, Insight & Stock Performance
* Own and continuously enhance the quality and integrity of asset data, including stock condition, compliance, and energy performance.
* Utilise data analytics to assess stock performance, identify risks, and prioritise investment.
* Compliance & Building Safety
* Ensure asset strategies fully reflect the requirements of the Building Safety Act, fire safety, and wider health & safety legislation.
* Collaborate closely with compliance and building safety teams to prioritise high-risk buildings and higher-risk stock effectively.
* Financial & Value for Money
* Support long-term business planning by ensuring asset decisions deliver value for money and safeguard the organisation’s financial viability.
* Stakeholder Engagement
* Prepare and present comprehensive reports and recommendations to the Executive Team and Board.
* Engage with external stakeholders as required, including consultants, local authorities, and regulators.
Qualifications
* HNC, HND, RICS, MCIOB or relevant other qualification in Construction Management
