A reputable and established residential children’s services provider is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and driven Deputy Manager to help co-manage a specialist EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Children’s Home in Virginia Water.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or a Senior/Team Leader ready to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting or a Team Leader with strong leadership experience.
* Sound knowledge of Ofsted standards and Children’s Homes Regulations.
* A passion for supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential; Level 5 or willingness to work towards it is desirable.
Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Manager:
* Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
* Promote a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
* Lead and supervise a team of residential support workers, including rota planning and staff development.
* Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
* Ensure the home remains compliant with Ofsted regulations and maintains high-quality care standards.
* Participate in inspections, audits, and reviews.
* Liaise with professionals, families, and external agencies to support each young person’s care journey.
* Take on the lead role in the absence of the Registered Manager.
