The Role:
We seek a passionate, student-focused Senior Lecturer in Social Work to join our expanding team at University College Birmingham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our Social Work programmes and department.
You will be involved in designing and delivering engaging, inclusive teaching that connects theory to real-world social work practice. Supporting students and apprentices throughout their learning journey, you will help them develop confidence and professional skills.
As a senior team member, you will collaborate to develop curricula, lead teaching innovation, and strengthen relationships with placement providers and employers. We encourage creative ideas, especially those leveraging digital tools and reflecting contemporary social work practice.
Candidates should have experience teaching in Higher Education, working with Social Work England's Professional Standards, understanding diverse learner needs, and a commitment to widening participation. Most importantly, you should be passionate about making a difference for learners and the social work profession.
