This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse to join the Women’s Health Research team at Guys and St Thomas’. Working clinically within the team you will continue to provide a high standard of care and contribute to recruitment and overall success of a number of research studies within the field of gynaecology, early pregnancy and assisted conception.
Main duties of the job
Once trained, you will contribute to a portfolio of clinical research studies. You will be tasked with liaising with clinical teams to recruit eligible patient, deliver clinical interventions and conduct study visits according to specific study protocols. You will support junior members of staff within the team and act as a champion for research within the clinical areas. You will also be responsible for study follow up, data entry, ensuring patient safety and maintaining high levels of quality assurance.

Qualification and education
Essential criteria
1. Registered Nurse NMC Registration with previous acute NHS experience
2. Relevant specialist course or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
3. A Clinical Research qualification
4. Educated to degree level or above
5. Gynaecology and/or early pregnancy and/or Assisted Conception specific training/ relevant experience
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
6. Extensive experience of working within a clinical environment as a registered nurse
7. Experienced and competent in the management of patients within the speciality
8. Experience of effective multidisciplinary team working
9. Ability to work with diverse cultural groups
Desirable criteria
10. Experience in Clinical Research
11. Good Clinical Practice & Certification

12. Extensive knowledge of Nursing practice
