As our Head of Commercial, you will be an astute business professional, someone who account manages, networks, and grows relationships. Based in the Northwest, but travelling throughout the UK, you’ll be well versed in partnering with and selling technical components and solutions to OEMs.
Location
Warrington (office‑based). You may be based in Liverpool, Manchester, Crewe, Preston, Stockport, Bolton, Wigan or Chester. You will travel onsite for client visits as required.
Salary & Benefits
Basic Salary: GBP 55,000 – 65,000.

Job Description
Head of Commercial / Commercial Manager / Head of Sales / Sales Manager – Industrial / Contract Electronics Manufacturing. Reports to the Managing Director and takes overall responsibility for the commercial side of the business, working with a team of 2–3.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and implement a 2‑3 year sales strategy to achieve an organisational goal of GBP 8–8.5 million (10+ % year‑on‑year growth).
* Work closely with internal engineers and sales administration (2–3 people) to provide coaching, mentoring and support.
* Maintain and grow key accounts (≈30 accounts generating GBP 5.2 million).
* Identify and target new OEMs in sectors where we have a strong value proposition.
* Collaborate with production, operations and design teams to craft a compelling customer message and stay ahead of the market.
* Develop and implement a cohesive, fit‑for‑purpose marketing plan.
* Identify key decision makers and influencers in target clients, especially Procurement, Production, Operations, Engineering Directors and Senior Engineers.
Person Specification
* Proven commercial success in a sales leadership role, ideally within Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM). Application from other outsourced contract manufacturing, industrial components or technical sales is welcomed.
* Experience, gravitas and presence to drive a consultative, partnership‑based sales strategy.
* Managed a sales budget of GBP 5–10 million.
* Personally managed multimillion‑pound industrial OEM relationships.
* Comfortable operating in a technical environment, solving customer application issues and providing genuine solutions.
