Destination Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Primary Teacher for a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Finsbury Park. About the Role:
As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that inspire pupils to reach their full potential across all areas of the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will plan and implement creative schemes of work that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities, ensuring that every child is supported and challenged appropriately. The role also involves assessing pupil progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing regular feedback to both pupils and parents.
You will work collaboratively with other members of staff, including subject leads and teaching assistants, to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to whole-school initiatives. The successful teacher will also play an active part in school life—participating in assemblies, extracurricular clubs, and enrichment activities that promote personal development and community values.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Has recent experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5.
* Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a passion for inspiring young learners.
* Has strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to differentiate effectively.
* Is committed to continuous professional growth and collaborative practice.
