The Clinical Administration & Prescribing Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of patient care within the practice. The postholder is responsible for managing repeat prescription processes, clinical workflows, patient record administration, and referral management, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with practice policies and NHS guidelines. Working closely with clinical and administrative teams, the role helps maintain high-quality patient records, supports effective communication with external healthcare providers, and contributes to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
Job responsibilities
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented administrator to support prescription processing, clinical workflows, patient records, and referrals within a busy GP practice.
Key Duties
* Process repeat prescriptions via SystmOne.
* Manage referrals through NHS eRS and other pathways.
* Summarise and code patient records.
* Process clinical correspondence and medical reports.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure GDPR compliance.

* GP practice or healthcare administration experience desirable.
* SystmOne knowledge advantageous.
