Ysgol Y Rhos is an independent specialist school set in a beautiful rural location, easily accessible from Wrexham, Mold, Ruthin and Llangollen. As part of Unique Care Homes Ltd., we provide an integrated package of education, care and therapy tailored to meet the individual needs of young people aged 8–16 with emotional, behavioural and additional learning needs arising from adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people while contributing to the development of an ambitious and evolving specialist provision.

Key Responsibilities
7. Act as a form tutor for a small group of pupils
8. Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to individuals and small groups
9. Support continuity and progression across the curriculum
10. Contribute to and implement behaviour and learning plans
11. Work collaboratively with carers, therapists and colleagues to support each child’s development
12. Monitor and promote pupil progress through accredited learning pathways
13. Create a stimulating, inclusive and supportive learning environment
About You
We are looking for an empathetic, flexible and creative teacher who can build positive relationships and inspire young people to achieve their full potential.
Essential Requirements
14. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
15. A nationally recognised degree
16. Experience of teaching children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
17. Strong classroom practice and the ability to adapt learning to individual needs
18. Enthusiasm, resilience and a commitment to professional development
19. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
