The role
As a Management Accountant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a pivotal role within our Liquid Gas Engineering business, supporting a high‑growth Marine portfolio operating in complex, project‑based environments. This is a commercially focused finance role offering real influence, autonomy and visibility with senior leaders.
Day‑to‑day you’ll be required to:
1. Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis
2. Leading the month‑end close process and ensuring robust financial controls
3. Partnering with operational and commercial leaders to explain financial performance
4. Maintaining rolling forecasts for revenue, profit and cash flow
5. Developing financial models to support planning, investment and continuous improvement
This role is full time, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Management Accountant
6. Time‑served experience in management accounting within a project‑led or engineering environment
7. Proven technical accounting capability, including revenue recognition and financial controls
8. Strong Excel skills with demonstrated financial modelling experience
9. Confidence influencing stakeholders through clear, actionable financial insight
Qualifications for the Management Accountant
10. Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA preferred; ACCA or equivalent considered)
11. Substantial post‑qualification experience in a management accounting or commercial finance environment
12. Sound understanding of financial reporting, forecasting and governance
