About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and friendly School Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive primary school near Durham.
This is a full-time, long-term temporary opportunity starting as soon as possible and running until December 2026.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the school office, acting as the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support within the school office
Manage front desk duties, including answering calls and greeting visitors
Maintain accurate pupil records and databases (e.g. MIS systems such as SIMS/Arbor)
Support attendance monitoring and reporting processes
Handle correspondence, emails, and general enquiries
Assist with admissions, enrolment, and school communications
Support senior leadership with administrative tasks and reporting
Ensure safeguarding procedures and confidentiality are upheld at all timesAbout You
Has previous administrative experience (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
Is highly organised with strong attention to detail
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is confident using Microsoft Office and school systems (training can be provided)
Can work independently and as part of a team
