My client, a leading MEP contractor, is looking for a MEP Project Director or a Lead M&E Project manager who would like to take a step up to ops level. There are two projects: a 700 unit+ development and a 1000 unit development based in Brsitol, in pre‑construction stage and will run for 3 years to be completed in 2024. The candidate can have a bias of either Mechanical or Electrical but has previous experience in running a residential M&E project in excess of £10m.
Responsibilities
* Attend tender pre‑order meetings
* RAMS/Risk/COSSH assessments
* Manage health & safety
* Manage a team of M&E Project Managers
* Oversee multiple projects at once
* Ensure orders placed to meet on‑site installation requirements and production of technical submissions in line with procurement schedule
* Check that all orders meet contract specifications and drawings
* Review cost plans, undertake value engineering and design review
* Procure contracts and materials
* Interview potential new staff to join the team
* Cost management
* Ensure contract is carried out according to the client’s specification
* Prepare technical submissions
* Set project targets
* Provide regular feedback of production analysis to the client
* Deliver projects on time and within budget
* Manage and oversee all subcontractors
