Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a busy and well-established client operating across both Edinburgh East and West depots.

🕒 Available Opportunities
📍 Edinburgh West – Flexible Ad Hoc Shifts
1. Work offered on an as-and-when basis
2. Typical 7:00am start times
3. Ideal for drivers seeking flexibility and extra shifts
📍 Edinburgh East – Ongoing Full-Time Role
4. Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays
5. Consistent 8:00am starts
6. Regular ongoing work with long-term opportunities
➕ Additional shifts may also become available across both depots depending on business demands.
🚚 The Role
7. Driving a Class 2 vehicle completing multi-drop deliveries
8. Working alongside a driver’s mate to assist with deliveries and unloading
9. Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time
10. Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
11. Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
💰 Pay Rates
PAYE
12. £14.70 per hour
13. £19.60 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
14. £16.47 per hour
15. £21.96 per hour after 8 hours
✅ Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay
✅ Overtime opportunities available
✅ Requirements
16. Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
17. Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
18. Maximum 9 penalty points
(No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
19. Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
20. Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience preferred
21. Reliable, professional, and hardworking attitude
