Offer description

Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. You will contribute to Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care across our homes, understanding that residents are people with their own stories. You will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence, get to know residents and their families, and help ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. You may support residents with daily activities, such as assisting with meals or helping family communications, always with kindness. You will work with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide essential physical and mental stimulation through activities, as well as administering medication. One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.

Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people, your understanding of good record keeping, time management, and your considerate, kind communication with residents and co-workers.

About HC-One

At HC-One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them so we can support them to lead their best possible life.

To provide the kindest possible care there are five qualities that everyone who is part of the HC-One team shows up with, supports and coaches in each other every day. We call these five qualities Kindness the HC-One Way: We are curious, compassionate, creative yet practical, courageous in supporting residents to live the life they want, and we can always be counted on.

We champion inclusivity, fostering a workplace where everyone feels valued and can be themselves. Our diverse and inclusive workforce allows us to learn from each other and better represent the communities we serve.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs that may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.

Benefits and Training

We provide full training, so it’s a great opportunity to learn something new. In return, you will enjoy access to a wide range of benefits and services to support your physical and psychological well-being. Throughout your career as a Senior Care Assistant we will invest in you and provide additional support and benefits including:

* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Hourly rate is subject to experience and qualifications
* Free uniform
* During a shift of eight hours or more a nutritious meal will be available
