The Opportunity
The Maintenance Team Leader plays a key role in prioritizing and delivering the daily KPIs within the engineering department. The Team Leader will serve as the first point of contact for the engineering manager and other external stakeholders involved in engineering activities.
Responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment reliability on site, as well as assisting in planning and executing engineering activities. The role also involves reading, writing, and implementing Dechra QMS documentation into engineering works, such as change controls, deviations, and CAPAs.
This role operates in shifts: 6 am - 2 pm one week and 2 pm - 10 pm the following week.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Distributing and monitoring the team's work to ensure the delivery of a planned maintenance program, enhancing equipment reliability and asset performance.
* Keeping the online ticketing system up to date, ensuring timely completion of work orders with detailed asset history.
* Leading root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues.
* Performing calibration services according to work order instructions and regulatory standards.
* Continuously improving equipment safety, efficiency, and downtime reduction.
* Carrying out daily admin tasks such as shift handovers and DRM board updates.
* Participating in tier 1 meetings and communicating actions to engineering.
* Supporting site problem-solving sessions from an engineering perspective and completing QMS documentation within deadlines.
The Ideal Candidate

* Willing to undergo a basic DBS check, paid for by Dechra, before and during employment.
* Experience managing a team in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
* Experience in the pharmaceutical, food, or chemical industry is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with production equipment such as filling lines, conveyors, autoclaves, tablet presses, granulators, WFI, and heat sterilizers.
* An electrical background is advantageous.
* Experience coaching and developing colleagues is beneficial.
* Ability to work cross-functionally.
* Strong planning and organizational skills.
