The Role
The school is seeking a compassionate and resilient Pastoral Support Officer to work closely with students who require additional support with behaviour, attendance or emotional wellbeing.
This role will involve working with individual students, families and external agencies to ensure that students receive appropriate guidance and support.
Responsibilities
• Provide one-to-one pastoral support to students
• Monitor student behaviour and attendance
• Support behaviour management and restorative practices
• Work with safeguarding leads and external agencies where required
• Assist with reintegration meetings and behaviour interventions
• Maintain accurate pastoral records and documentation
• Build strong relationships with students and families
• Support students in developing positive attitudes towards learning
• Contribute to pastoral programmes and wellbeing initiatives
• Assist with supervision and student support across the school

• Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage challenging situations calmly
