We’re looking for an Engineering Skills Lead to join the Skills Delivery Team full time permanent contract. The Skills Delivery Team is responsible for delivering certificated and bespoke professional courses, SVQs, MAs and Open Learning courses in a college that aims to be one step ahead. The Work-based Learning team are a growing and evolving team who deliver SVQ’s and Modern Apprenticeships. Who we’re looking for We’re looking for an Engineering Skills Lead with a background in engineering and a qualified SVQ Assessor. As well as having SVQ and MA candidates the role will be responsible line management of engineering assessors, quality assurance, employer engagement and development of the provision to meet the needs of industry across the South of Scotland. To succeed in the role, you will have some or all of the following: You will be educated to SCQF Level 7 in a relevant engineering qualification Recent experience of working in an engineering role is essential. Assessor qualification is essential. Verification qualification desirable. Excellent organisation and time management abilities. Strong customer service/teamworking /relationship building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in digital skills relevant to the role, including experience using MS Office and any job-specific software/systems Adaptability to evolving digital opportunities and willingness to continuously improve digital competencies.
