About the Role
The Activities Coordinator, known internally as Lifestyles Coordinator, will proactively engage with and support the activities programme in the Home. They will provide support to ensure other team members and residents know about and are engaged in the activities programme.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Assist in delivering a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme based on person-centred care principles, throughout the home and tailored to residents as individuals.
* Champion person-centred care with all team members to empower residents to make, or continue to make, Lifestyles choices relevant to them.
* Actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful occupations related to their lifestyle choices, at a pace that respects individuality and dignity.
Training, Skills & Experience Required
* Experience organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities, ideally within a healthcare environment.
* Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for enhancing residents' lives.
* Knowledge of dementia is advantageous.
* Proven track record of leading, empowering, supporting and motivating a team.
