Join Our Friendly Team as a Switchboard Operator – Wexham Park Hospital
2 x Band 2 | 37.5 hours per week. Do you enjoy helping people, staying calm under pressure, and being a reliable voice in times of need? If so, we’d love you to join our supportive and close-knit Switchboard Team at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities
* Answer incoming calls efficiently and professionally – you’re often the first voice people hear.
* Quickly and accurately handle emergency calls following Trust procedures.
* Take detailed messages and ensure the right person gets the right information.
* Respond to major incidents and critical alerts with confidence and accuracy.
* Maintain accurate internal contact directories and support telecom system updates.
* Log facility-related requests via the Planet FM system and arrange staff taxi bookings as needed.
* Work closely with the Telecoms Team Leader to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Cover for colleagues during annual leave or sickness (flexibility is key).
* Keep knowledge current with mandatory training and personal development opportunities.
