A client within the Public Sector based in the East Midlands is currently recruiting for a Repairs and Maintenance Manager to join their Housing Commercial Services Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a repairs, maintenance, or housing services environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is support the Capital Works Manager in developing and implementing a modern, effective, customer-focused, and high-performing property maintenance and improvements service. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Being responsible for the Responsive Repairs Team and all related functions, ensuring effective, efficient service delivery to high standards, with particular focus on disrepair, damp and mould, and complex repairs. • Managing the commercial delivery of day-to-day property repairs to tenanted homes, voids, and other assets under relevant contracts. • Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and statutory requirements relating to the service. • Applying strong knowledge of H&S legislation and CDM regulations to ensure works are delivered safely and compliantly. • Managing a high-performing team including team leaders, chargehands, operatives, administrative staff and partnering contractors. • Assisting with the development of ...
