Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Service Controller, you will:
* Lead and Inspire: Guide the service engineering team by understanding customer requests, prioritizing needs, and implementing timely actions.
* Optimize Resources: Plan jobs to maximize engineer productivity and asset utilization.
* Monitor Progress: Manage job progress at every stage, ensuring adherence to contamination control practices.
* Communicate Effectively: Liaise with customers to resolve issues that benefit both Finning Power Rental and our clients.
* Ensure Accuracy: Open and close work orders consistently to maximize billing accuracy.
* Drive Safety: Implement procedural changes to maintain site security and promote health and safety practices.
* Engage Your Team: Foster employee engagement aligned with business targets, using surveys as a guide.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
* Customer Service Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with clients.
* Planning and Organization: Excellent skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy in all aspects of your work.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
* IT Proficiency: Familiarity with Excel, Teams, and Outlook is essential.
* Leadership Qualities: Experience in leading teams and championing health & safety.
Knowledge and Experience
Ideal candidates will have:
* Knowledge of diesel generator products and engine/fuel control systems.
* Experience with M3/INFOR systems (training provided).
* Understanding of parts identification and ordering processes.
* Familiarity with warranty and commissioning processes.
