Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Paediatrics - Band 6
1 x full time permanent post - Base: Barbara Castle Way Health Centre
Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated qualified speech & language therapist to join our experienced and friendly Blackburn with Darwen based locality team. Experience of working in paediatrics is desirable but not essential.
Key responsibilities
* Work with children and young people aged 0‑19 with communication and eating, drinking and swallowing needs.
* Manage own time effectively and demonstrate excellent communication skills with children, young people and families.
* Collaborate with colleagues in health, education and social care to provide a child‑centred service in clinics, children’s own homes, nurseries and schools.
* Participate in clinical and management supervision, specialist support by experienced senior staff and specialist SLT Forums.
* Contribute to the development of innovative services within the Children’s Integrated Therapy Service.
Qualifications
* Qualified Speech & Language Therapist.
* Experience working with children and young people, particularly in paediatrics.
* Desirable: experience in eating, drinking and swallowing.
