Company Overview
Blue Energy's mission is to unlock energy abundance, energy affordability, energy security, and turn-key decarbonization by developing the fastest path to deploying new nuclear MWs at scale. We are utilizing shipyard manufacturing supply chains and techniques from offshore oil and wind to reduce the cost of nuclear plants by over 60% and the manufacturing timeline to 24 months. Blue Energy is a platform technology that makes use of the latest NRC-approved reactors and is in negotiations with existing nuclear and industrial sites, enabling a much faster regulatory pathway to deploy our first unit. With our innovative centralized shipyard manufacturing approach, we can put nuclear power on a cost-reduction learning curve akin to wind, solar, and lithium-ion batteries.
The Opportunity
Blue Energy just closed a successful fundraise and is entering a period of rapid growth. Construction begins later this year on the first project-financed nuclear power plant in U.S. history. The CEO office needs another set of hands.
We're hiring a Deputy Chief of Staff to work directly with the CEO and Chief of Staff across strategy, operations, communications, and partnerships. You'll sit in the room for investor conversations, board prep, regulatory milestones, and major partnership decisions. The scope is broad by design: this role exists to give you exposure to how a scaling energy company actually runs, and to give leadership someone who can take work off their plate and execute it well.
This is an early-career role with an uncommon amount of access and responsibility. For the right person, it's a path to the Chief of Staff seat as the company grows.
What You'll Do
Executive communications and materials.
Prepare presentations, talking points, and briefing documents for investors, partners, external events, internal leadership meetings, and company-wide updates. Make sure how the company communicates its strategy and progress is clear and consistent.
Cross-functional projects.
Support high-priority initiatives that cut across teams. Help with diligence, planning, and coordination. Track milestones, flag risks, and drive projects to completion.
CEO office support.
Sit in on key meetings. Capture decisions, priorities, and follow-ups. Keep the flow of information between the CEO office and the rest of the organization clean and reliable. Help maintain an operating rhythm across leadership activities.
Organizational awareness.
Develop a broad view of the company by working across functions. Serve as a connective point between leadership and operational teams. Reinforce company values through clear communication and disciplined follow-through.
Who Thrives Here
You're early in your career but already operating above your title. You're the person people trust to get things right the first time without a lot of hand-holding. You want to understand how senior teams make decisions, and you want to be in the room when they do.
Relevant Backgrounds Include
Management consulting
Communications, PR, or corporate affairs
Strategy, policy, or analyst roles with exposure to energy, infrastructure, or industrial sectors
What matters more than your specific background is how you think, how you write, and how quickly you learn.
What We're Looking For
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Can synthesize complex information quickly and accurately.
Sound judgment and discretion.
High learning speed and ownership mentality.
We look forward to your application and helping foster an era of safe, clean, affordable, and abundant energy.
Blue Energy is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't perfectly align with every requirement, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be the right candidate for this or other roles at Blue Energy now or in the future.
