The post Ipswich School Enterprises Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced Swimming Teacher to join our team. You will support the General Manager in delivering a high-quality swimming programme for the public at Ipswich School, helping participants of all ages and abilities improve their skills while promoting water safety. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on swimmers’ confidence, technique, and enjoyment in the water. You will be responsible to the General Manager and ultimately, the Director of Sport. Principle responsibilities: deliver structured swimming lessons in line with approved curriculum and safety standards for all ages and abilities teach swimming techniques, strokes, and water safety skills provide constructive feedback and encouragement to support progression maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, colleagues, and management - monitor and enforce pool rules to ensure safety follow Normal Operating Procedures (NOP) and implement Emergency Action Plan (EAP) when required report all maintenance or safety concerns promptly to the General Manager engage in continuing professional development to maintain and enhance professional standards. Person specification: proven experience delivering swimming instruction ability to motivate and inspire swimmers of all ages strong communication and interpersonal skills qualifications (Essential): Swim England Level 2 or STA Award in Teaching Swimming - NPLQ, NRASTC, or equivalent recognised water safety qualification passionate about swimming and water safety friendly, approachable, and energetic responsible and safety-focused punctual and well‑organised.
