About the Role
I’m working with a long-standing client who are a leader in the Food & Beverage space undergoing a high‑impact, end‑to‑end Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) transformation.
I’m looking to speak with seeking a D365 F&O Environments Professionals who can own and optimise their D365 ecosystem—ensuring environments are healthy, secure, and ready to support fast‑moving business operations.
You’ll be the “air traffic controller” for D365 environments—coordinating build and release cycles, managing LCS and Azure resources, troubleshooting issues before they hit production, and championing good governance around segregation of duties (SoD) and licensing.
If you enjoy making complex systems run smoothly and love the satisfaction of clean, controlled releases, you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Do
* Design, manage, and maintain all D365 F&O environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod/Sandbox), including refreshes, code deployments, data movement, and capacity planning.
* Own the LCS project set‑up and ongoing operations—monitoring health, applying updates, managing service requests, and coordinating hotfixes and cumulative updates.
* Define and run structured release pipelines (code, configurations, ISVs), aligned to change management controls. Ensure efficient build validation (BVT) and smoke testing.
* Lead SoD design and enforcement—role‑based access controls, duty/privilege modelling, periodic access reviews, and audit readiness.
* Manage D365 licensing allocation and optimisation; track Power Platform capacity, environments, DLP policies, and usage to keep costs efficient and compliant.
* Oversee Power Apps/Power Automate solutions connected to F&O (e.g., approvals, operational apps), ensuring robust ALM, environment strategy, and guardrails.
* Implement proactive monitoring (Telemetry, LCS, Azure), incident response playbooks, and performance tuning to keep systems stable and fast.
* Define safe, repeatable data refresh processes (masking, sub‑setting), manage configuration/integration data, and support test data creation.
* Work closely with internal IT, development partners, functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain), and ISVs to schedule changes and minimise downtime.
* Maintain clear, auditable documentation—runbooks, access matrices, release notes, and environment topology.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven track record managing D365 F&O environments end‑to‑end in a multi‑environment landscape.
* Strong hands‑on with LCS: environment deployment, monitoring, updates/PU, and service requests.
* Practical expertise in release management/ALM: build, deploy, and rollback strategies.
* Experience managing licences: user entitlements, licence optimisation, capacity planning (D365 & Power Platform).
* Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) governance: environments, DLP policies, connectors, solution‑aware ALM.
* Strong grasp of Azure components underpinning D365 (e.g., VM topology for Tier‑2+, Azure DevOps pipelines, monitoring).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder skills; able to coordinate multiple teams and vendors.
* Any FastPath experience is a +
