The Role
We are currently seeking Machine Operators to run and maintain thermoforming and paper forming machines within our busy production environment. The successful candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation of forming machinery while maintaining high product quality and performance.
Machine Operators report to the Senior Machine Operator.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, operate, and monitor thermoforming and paper forming machines
* Conduct quality checks and ensure output meets BRCGS and internal standards
* Perform machine changeovers, cleaning, and minor maintenance tasks
* Identify and report equipment faults or material issues to engineering teams
* Work closely with team leaders and quality control to maintain smooth workflow
* Keep accurate records of production data and downtime
* Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards

Experience Required
* Experience in operating thermoforming or paper forming machines in a manufacturing or packaging environment is not essential as training will be provided.
* Understanding of food industry hygiene and safety standards (BRCGS or similar) is desirable but not essential.
* Basic mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting experience
* Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced production setting
* Forklift licence or basic machine maintenance knowledge (advantageous but not essential)
