Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers – All levels.
Locations: Cardiff, Belfast, Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Epsom, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Peterborough, Warrington.
AtkinsRéalis is a leading name in Water Networks, shaping future management practices both in the UK and internationally. Due to growth, we are recruiting Clean Water Network Modellers/Engineers across UK offices. These roles offer flexible working arrangements, with potential home offices in listed locations. Join a team of engineers, GIS specialists, and technicians working on projects for Water Companies, Local Authorities, developers, and international clients.
The team operates within Asset Planning & Solutions, focusing on water and wastewater projects, including network design and drainage improvements. The role involves feasibility studies using computer modelling, analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Full training will be provided where needed.
Experience with Synergee, InfoWorks, GIS packages, and civil engineering knowledge is advantageous but not essential. Responsibilities include working on feasibility studies, liaising with stakeholders, and producing reports.
For senior roles, experience in model usage, hydraulic analysis, and technical leadership is required.
Requirements:
* Management and supervision of a team of modellers.
* Development of industry-leading and innovative solutions.
* Experience with water modelling and distribution networks.
* Model building and calibration.
* Use of models for planning, operations, and design.
* Management of detailed studies, pressure management, and DMA design.
* Supervision of report writing and review.
* Experience with SYNERGI, INFOWORKS WS, EPANET, Infowater, and similar software.
Qualifications:
* BSc/BEng/MEng in geography, GIS, science, engineering, or equivalent, with professional qualifications at senior levels.
* Technician roles require HNC/HND in related subjects; opportunities for further qualifications available.
Responsibilities:
* Develop computer models to investigate water network issues and investment needs.
* Analyze data and support engineering solutions.
* Assist in report development and project deliverables.
* Conduct health and safety risk assessments.
