Responsibilities
* Provide diagnostic imaging services in accordance with departmental protocols for A&E, In-Patients, Out-Patients and GP referrals.
* Supervise and assist in the training of student Radiographers, acting as mentor/assessor where necessary.
* Contribute to quality assurance programs and be involved in audit/research where appropriate.
* Maintain evidence of professional competencies and continuing professional development as required by HCPC for state registration.
* Use the Radiology computer system for input and retrieval of patient details.
* Record equipment faults and arrange for service engineers to attend and repair faults promptly.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment and liaise with estates or housekeeping departments as necessary.
* Engage in educational responsibilities and participate in mandatory training as per Trust policies.
* Participate in audit of clinical procedures and systems and be actively involved in service improvement.
Educational/Qualifications
* Provides evidence of maintaining professional competencies and continuing professional development as required by HCPC for state registration.
* Knowledge of clerical and assistant duties and ability to undertake these when required.
* Demonstrate proactive application of new knowledge to own and others’ practice; continual risk assessment in practice.
* Attends mandatory training courses in accordance with Trust policies.
