Consultant in Addictions Psychiatry (Substance Use Services)
Location: Clackmannanshire and Stirling area – Base: St Ninian’s Health Centre, Stirling
Employment type: Full‑time (10 programmed activities)
Salary Scale: £111,430 – £148,064 per annum (pro rata for part‑time holders)

Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver addiction services within the NHS Forth Valley.
* Collaborate with local universities, including the University of Stirling, to develop evidence‑based strategies to tackle drug and alcohol related deaths.
* Support national strategy development and contribute to emerging public‑health initiatives.
* Provide specialist treatment, supervision and guidance for Advanced Nurse and Pharmacist Practitioners.
* Develop and maintain teaching and training programmes for staff and embedded students.
* Work across health and social care to ensure integrated and judgement‑free care for people with addiction issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
* Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
* Within 6 months of CCT (or GMC Specialist Register for Portfolio pathway).
* Evidence of recent continued academic and professional development.
* Excellent communication, listening and organisational skills.
