Your new company A leading government organisation is seeking a Lead Product Owner to manage a critical cloud hosting capability at SECRET level. This service is delivered across multiple government partners and represents a core growth area for the organisation's digital operations. Your new role You will take ownership of a strategic hosting capability, transitioning it from a programme-based structure to a product-centric model. Responsibilities include: Defining and maintaining the product vision and roadmap aligned with cross-government hosting strategy. Managing the product backlog, prioritising features based on strategic importance and business value. Leading a product team of up to 20 people, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality. Engaging with stakeholders across technical teams, leadership, and government partners. Overseeing financial and governance reporting under scrutiny. What you'll need to succeed Essential: Proven experience in strategic product ownership and roadmap development. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing large product teams. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities. Deep understanding of digital hosting environments at SECRET level. Expertise in Agile product delivery, backlog management, and prioritisation. Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. Desirable: Certifications in Agile (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and project management (MSP, PRINCE2). Experience with cross-functional teams and Government Service Standard.
