Robert Half has partnered with a well-established and expanding care company based in Surrey, near Guildford, to recruit an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience, particularly in credit control and cash allocation, who is looking to take ownership of the AR function within a supportive and values-led environment.
You will work closely with the wider finance team and operational managers to ensure accurate and timely customer billing, collections, and reporting - playing a key role in maintaining cash flow and supporting continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable:
Manage the accounts receivable inbox and respond to billing and payment queries in a timely and professional manner
Accurately raise sales invoices and credit notes in the ERP system
Allocate customer payments to ledger accounts
Perform regular reconciliations of customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
Proactively follow up on overdue balances and escalate issues to management where appropriate
Monitor and manage credit limits, including due diligence for new customer accounts
Run and reconcile aged debt reports at month-end
Assist with month-end close procedures and audit queries related to receivables
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in an accounts receivable or credit control role
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Good communication skills and confidence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
Experience using accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Experience within the care or healthcare sector is desirable but not essential
Benefits:
Competitive base salary of £28,000 - £30,000, depending on experience
