Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will work closely with an experienced team, assisting students during lessons and activities.
Your responsibilities include supporting students in the classroom, small groups, or one-on-one, providing personalized assistance to address challenges related to behaviour, focus, academic work, or social skills.
The role involves working with students with diverse needs such as autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Speech & Language difficulties. Your commitment to fostering resilience and emotional growth will significantly impact their educational journey and wellbeing.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience working with children with additional needs or a strong desire to do so.
* Ability to follow EHCPs or similar educational plans tailored to individual needs.
* A genuine passion for positively influencing students with Special Educational Needs.
* Skills to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment that promotes growth and development.
* Patience, empathy, and understanding of diverse learning requirements.
* A proactive, adaptable approach to various situations and challenges.

All pay rates are inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanence later. Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding children and will conduct safeguarding checks in accordance with DfE guidance, including an online search if necessary.
