Field Service Engineer
Location - Buckinghamshire
Salary - £30,000 per annum excellent benefits
Working Hours - 8:15am–5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:15am–12:45pm on Friday, with flexibility required to support customer visits.
We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys variety, customer interaction, and working with electro‑mechanical equipment both on-site and across customer locations in the UK and Ireland. As a Service &; Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, calibration, servicing, and ongoing support of electro‑mechanical equipment. The role involves a mix of office-based work and customer site visits, offering excellent exposure to different technical environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, commission, calibrate and service electro‑mechanical test equipment
* Provide planned maintenance support at customer sites across the UK and Ireland
* Complete accurate service reports and related documentation
* Deliver customer training on equipment use and basic maintenance
* Provide day-to-day technical support via ticketing system, email, remote access and phone
* Ensure all company equipment is operating correctly and is calibrated as required
* Liaise with suppliers to resolve technical queries and build technical knowledge
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in a service or support engineering role (highly desirable)
* Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with some electronics exposure
* A capable problem solver with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator, able to engage professionally with customers at all levels
* Computer literate, including MS Outlook, Word and Excel
