Role Overview
Advanced Practitioner (Child and Family Social Worker) – Based in the Broxtowe and Rushcliffe Family Support & Safeguarding Teams, focusing on complex work including pre‑proceedings and care proceedings.
Advanced practitioners will have line‑manager responsibilities for a limited number of non‑social work qualified staff and social work apprentices in the team and will support with reflective and group supervision for other social workers. Experience mentoring or supervising others is required.
Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Responsibilities
* Allocate and manage a small caseload of children with complex family circumstances.
* Co‑work with and support social workers to improve knowledge and skills in high‑quality assessment, analysis and risk management.
* Provide line management and supervision to non‑social work qualified staff and apprentices.
* Act as a resource for reflective and group supervision for other social workers.
Qualifications
* At least three years’ experience as a childcare social worker.
* Experience in mentoring or supervising others.
* Eligible for and willing to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
