First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International education business who are looking to recruit an Engineering Lecturer due to growth to be based out of their Redhill (Surrey) location.
In this exciting role, you will have the responsibility to prepare and teach on a range of engineering courses to a range of students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To plan learning programmes for groups of students, and to guide them through the learning process (target setting, action planning, review, progression).
2. To deliver learning, and plan and undertake assessment on an agreed range of programmes, using an appropriate range of learning methods and activities, including new technologies. In this role to prepare appropriate essential documents including:
3. assessment plans
4. schemes of work
5. lesson plans
6. teaching & learning materials
7. individual learning plans
8. assignments
9. To act as a personal tutor
10. To promote high attendance to College targets & follow up non-attenders as directed by Director of Learning or Programme Manager
11. To maintain accurate records of students’ retention, achievement and attendance using e registers, and provide reports on student progress as required, using electronic ILPs
12. To participate in team meetings and contribute to planning, development and review activities, including course review, self-assessment and other College QI procedures
13. To undertake data checks as directed by Heads of Department
14. To provide outstanding learning experience to students, maximising and showcasing of the use of ILT
15. To act as Course/Subject Leader if required
16. To act as Internal Verifier if required
17. For students requiring Additional Learning Support, to devise/update Individual Learning Plans, including (where appropriate) identifying learning activities to be carried out by a Learning
18. Support Assistant; and to make arrangements with the LSA for continual monitoring of progress and up-dating of the Individual Learning Plans
19. To contribute to Open Evenings, parents’ evenings and similar events as required
20. To contribute to the process of student recruitment and enrolment in conjunction with the Central Admissions Units, following completion of appropriate training in advice and guidance
21. To work co-operatively with staff and teams in other areas of the college in order to ensure an effective service to students.
22. To promote Equality & Diversity and Safeguarding in teaching and learning
Skills and Qualifications:
23. A teaching qualification
24. A Degree within Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (a level 5 qualification may be considered)
25. Significant Engineering Industry experience
26. Previous teaching experience including delivery of the BTEC and/or EAL qualifications
27. Experience of Quality assurance

Salary: £30,760 – £40,113 DOE
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 37 hours per week
