Location: Ripon
Position: Full-time or Part-time (to start after Easter)
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Requirements:
1. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
2. Essential qualification required (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools, etc.).
3. Previous experience working with children with SEND, particularly in a KS2 setting, is desirable.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
5. Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting the diverse needs of SEND students.
6. Commitment to professional development and willingness to undertake relevant training as required.
Responsibilities:
7. Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND in a KS2 setting, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.
8. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored lessons, activities, and interventions to support SEND student's learning and development.
9. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
10. Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other staff members to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Management Plans (BMPs).
11. Monitor and track the progress of SEND students, providing feedback to the teaching team and parents/carers as necessary.
12. Support students with their emotional and social well-being, promoting independence and confidence in their abilities.
13. Contribute to the overall school ethos and participate in school events and activities.
