The key responsibilities of an Payroll Manager will include, but may not be limited to;
3. Manage and oversee the payroll and pension function to ensure accurate and timely payroll.
4. Lead and develop the payroll team, fostering a culture of high performance.
5. Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and requirements.
6. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function.
8. Support the development of policies.
9. Prepare and present payroll reports to senior management.
10. Contribute to wider finance projects and initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Manager should have:
11. Public Sector and Government background.
12. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
13. Ability to commute to Manchester.
14. Full enhanced DBS background check.
15. Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role within payroll.
16. Thorough knowledge of payroll regulations and requirements.
17. Strong leadership and team management skills.
18. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
19. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
