A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Basingstoke, Hampshire is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Senior to support the ongoing growth of its private client team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded independent practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory services.
The firm advises a diverse private client portfolio, including HNWI’s, OMB’s, company directors, entrepreneurs, and UK and non-UK domiciled individuals. You will join a friendly, technically capable team in a collaborative and supportive environment, where long term client relationships and tailored tax advice are central to the firm’s approach.
Key Responsibilities
As a Personal Tax Senior, you will manage your own portfolio of private clients and provide a blend of compliance and advisory services, including:
* Managing all aspects of personal tax compliance for individuals, directors, partnerships and non-resident clients
* Providing tailored tax advice across areas such as CGT, IHT, residence and domicile, trusts and share schemes
* Assisting with ad-hoc and project based advisory work
* Supporting business development activities and maintaining strong client relationships
* Supervising and mentoring junior team members and contributing to team development
Requirements
* ATT qualified and/or ACA/ACCA qualified. CTA qualification or studies advantageous
* Strong personal tax experience gained within a practice environment (Top 50, mid-tier or independent firm)
* Good technical knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory matters
* Ability to manage a client portfolio independently while supporting wider advisory work
* Genuine interest in private client tax and long-term career development in this area
Benefits
* Salary of £38,000 - £48,000, depending on experience and qualifications
* 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays

Requirements
ACCA / ACA / ATT or CTA qualified. Previous experience in personal tax compliance and planning is advantageous. Solid experience working within an accountancy practice. Ideally, 5+ years of experience in Personal Tax. Excellent communication skills.
