Graduate Programme - Property & Buildings - Building Services (2026)
We are looking for Graduates for our Building Services teams, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading engineering and professional advisory services consultancy. You will work in a collaborative environment on a diverse range of clients and projects.

Your role
As a Graduate in Building Services, you will work on exciting and innovative projects including large office buildings, hospitals, hotels, residential complexes, data centres and education buildings. The role involves designing, developing and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical systems and public health services. You will be embedded in multidisciplinary teams and mentored by experienced engineers, gaining exposure to real-world challenges and innovative solutions.

Day-to-day activities
* Collaborating with external stakeholders
* Conducting site inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance
* Drafting Mechanical or Electrical layouts using Revit or AutoCAD and running calculations
* Reviewing technical drawings and coordinating with other disciplines
* Supporting Senior Engineers in preparing tender documents
* Attending site visits to observe installations or conduct surveys
* Participating in sustainability assessments (e.g. BREEAM)
Building Technology Systems
Our Smart Buildings team develops smart strategy through construction processes and ICT & AV design. We specify technologies to meet current needs and enable future adoption. The team offers a complete technology consulting service, collaborating with owners, designers and contractors to deliver projects globally.
Day-to-day activities
* Collaborating with specialists across MEP, Security, Lighting, ICT, and AV
* Gathering requirements from stakeholders and defining desired outcomes
* Designing and specifying technology implementations and documenting requirements
* Working with project stakeholders to develop client-aligned recommendations
* Presenting outputs to clients during project delivery and change management
Energy & Sustainability
Our Energy & Sustainability Engineers assess building energy use and carbon emissions, and advise on reductions. The team covers energy modelling, whole life carbon, and sustainability certifications, balancing embodied carbon, operational energy, and occupant wellbeing.
Day-to-day activities
* Developing building simulation models to assess energy performance and thermal comfort
* Evaluating design strategies to reduce energy consumption and coordinating with the design team
* Calculating Whole Life Carbon and identifying reduction opportunities
* Incorporating circular economy principles into design
* Reviewing planning and regulatory requirements for energy and carbon
* Assessing climate change risks to building performance
Future projects may include Heathrow and Gatwick expansion plans and Stadia projects, as well as healthcare facilities.
Graduate Development Programme
Two-year programme designed to support personal and professional development through blended learning, including core business training, workshops, mentoring for professional registration and on-the-job experience. We encourage progression toward Chartered status with bodies such as IMechE and IET, with support for training agreements.
