About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons to Key Stage 4 students, focusing on developing proficiency in programming, algorithms, and data structures.
* Plan and deliver lessons that integrate theoretical concepts with practical applications, incorporating project-based learning, coding challenges, and collaborative projects.
* Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including coding portfolios, presentations, and written assessments, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies within the Computer Science department, staying abreast of emerging technologies and educational trends.
* Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as coding clubs, hackathons, and robotics competitions, promoting student engagement and fostering a passion for computer science.
* Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to integrate computational thinking and digital literacy into the wider curriculum.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Computer Science or a related field.
* Experience teaching Computer Science to Key Stage 4 students, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate students in coding and problem-solving.
* Proficiency in a range of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and coding platforms.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for engaging young minds in the world of computer science.
