Catering Assistant
Mayfield School is a Catholic independent boarding and day School for 400 girls aged 11-18 years, in the village of Mayfield in East Sussex. We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our friendly, hardworking and creative Catering Team. Our Catering team are an integral part of the School community ensuring that our students and staff have a first class dining experience at every meal.
Main responsibilities:
* Ensure all kitchen equipment, cutlery, crockery and glassware are washed in a timely manner to support the operational service.
* Cleaning down after service and ensuring all surfaces and floors are spotless
* Supporting the chefs during service, cleaning and returning essential cooking equipment
* Unloading and putting away deliveries
* Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors
* Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly
* Deep cleaning fridges and storerooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards
* Perform any other duties that may be required
Working Hours:
* 5 hours per week, Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 5.30pm and 8.00pm.
* Term time only
