A renowned and respected engineering consultancy with a strong presence in highly regulated sectors is looking to appoint a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their industry leading team in Derby.
You will be embedded within a manufacturing team at a client site in Derby, playing a key role in improving production processes, supporting operations, and driving efficiency across manufacturing activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyse existing manufacturing processes and develop improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
* Provide hands-on technical support to resolve production issues
* Develop and implement quality control procedures to meet industry and customer standards
* Design and introduce new tools, equipment, and production methods
* Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new manufacturing processes
* Monitor production performance data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
* Ensure all activities comply with relevant industry and safety regulations

About You
* Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally within a highly regulated industry such as nuclear or defence
* Strong understanding of safety and compliance standards (nuclear experience desirable)
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience in process design and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
* Strong project management and organisational abilities
