Experienced Assistant Site Manager
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: Up to £56,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a well-established residential developer on a high-quality housing project based in Cheltenham.
In this role, you will support the Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with the build programme. You’ll play a key part in maintaining standards, managing sub-contractors, and keeping the site running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and control all site labour, including direct and sub-contracted teams

Monitor site activity to ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements
*
Maintain high standards of site security, including traffic management and public safety
*
Provide leadership cover during the Site Manager’s absence (meetings, holidays, etc.)
Requirements:
*
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within residential construction
*
Strong ability to manage subcontractors and daily build schedules
*
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
*
Relevant industry qualifications and certifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, etc.)
