Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for the profession, looking for a senior role in a social care locality team? A temporary two-year vacancy has arisen for a part-time Occupational Therapy Practice Consultant.
We offer a £2000 welcome payment for qualified and experienced Social Workers/Occupational Therapists (grade J and above), Practice Consultants and Team Managers new to Norfolk County Council. Amount to be repaid in full should you leave within two years of employment.
The role includes providing supervision, case consultation, supporting professional development and providing guidance and support with managing complex cases to Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioners.
The role provides scope for creativity and innovation in how Occupational Therapists deliver their intervention with the aim of providing an efficient, effective and value for money service. We are in the process of redesigning our services in line with Norfolk County Council’s drive for Transformation and ensuring community-led practice.
We work closely with colleagues in the NHS and in district councils to ensure delivery of services is carried out in a timely fashion. Your role will be to support qualified and unqualified team members in helping people in North Norfolk through a combination of supervision, joint work and service development.
You should be an experienced, HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping people remain independent and supporting a team. Previous experience in social care would be desirable but we welcome applicants from all areas of practice.
