Shopfloor Foreman
We are currently recruiting for a Shopfloor Foreman to work out of one of our prestigious clients based in Newcastle under Lyme.
For this Shopfloor Foreman role, you will be responsible for:
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, assisting in the monitoring of workplace safety.
* Deliver Toolbox Talks and support H&S initiatives in collaboration with the Production Foreman.
* Oversee inductions and competency signoffs for new operatives.
* Deliver training on new machinery and processes to existing and new team members.
* Manage new starter induction plans.
* Create and manage employee work schedules.
* Supervise and assign daily tasks to shopfloor operatives.
* Act as the first point of contact for operatives regarding machinery, performance, and attendance issues.
* Operate machinery, including forklifts and CNC machines, as required. As well as tooling and consumables.
For this Shopfloor Foreman role, you will need:
* CNC machine operation experience – essential
* Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment – desirable
* Forklift Operator’s Licence
* Strong IT and organisational skills
* Flexible approach to working hours and responsibilities
* Positive attitude and a team-focused mindset
